U Lucky Dog has been in business since 1987 and has been fortunate enough to cater all kinds of events, both big and small. Below are some answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions. We encourage you to contact us with any question you have that is not answered below.

What is the size of the hot dog cart?

Our carts are 60" long x 30" wide and will fit through a typical exterior door way.

How early before serve time will you arrive?

We typically arrive 60 minutes before serve time. This allows us to unload, set up and prepare for your serve time.

Our event will be on the second floor. Will this be a problem?

As long as there is an elevator to that level. If you don’t have an elevator, call us and we can talk about it.

What brand of hot dogs do you serve?

We proudly serve Vienna All Beef Hot Dogs.

Do you cook the hot dogs on site?

Yes, each and every hot dog is cooked and prepared to your guests likings.

Do you offer veggie dogs?

Yes, upon request.

Do you include Condiments?

Yes, we include ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, celery salt and sport peppers.

How are hot dogs served?

Hot dogs are served on individual paper hot dog boats.

We are having a party with a baseball theme. Are you able to wear something that will fit our theme?

Yes, in most cases we are able to help you with your event theme

Do you require electricity?

Our popcorn machine is the only item that requires electricity. Otherwise, no electric is needed.

You have chips as an option on your menu. How are they served?

Chips are served in individual serving sized bags.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, with a 4% service charge.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required with a signed agreement. The balance is required before we leave your event.

When you need a final count on food?

We need a final count 1 week prior to your event.

Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance and is there a charge?

Yes. There is a charge of $35.00 per additional insured

Our event is being held in Chicago. Do we have to provide parking?

Yes. Because parking can sometimes be scarce, prearranged parking is a must. If we will need to park in public parking, there will be parking fees added to your invoice.
